Biblioteca de Burgmeier

Some new books I have added to my collection. From the top, The Sartorialist was a $14.95 special from this weekend's Anthropologie sale. The sixth from the top is called Zero: Hans Schleger - a life of design that my friend/coworker Brent told me about and how to find it. You got to go to Abe Books. Last, eleventh down is The Selby is in Your Place. I wasn't sure if I wanted this one, but my friend Kaelea let me check hers out and it is awesome! Good stuff just like the website.

SAVE KHAKI or else!

I saw this Save Khaki look book the other day and thought it was soooo fun! Then I looked a little closer and saw that this guy (Unabashedly Prep) lives in my old hood. Fort Worth! Yay, Funky Town! Then I looked even closer and I know Sara, the female model and stylist. It's a small world after all, everybody sing.

Another thing I noticed about these shots were the locations. First, Kincaid’s Hamburgers (historic) and second these tennis courts are in Como (this section of town is rough! Kind of cool how they found preppy in the most non preppy part of town). Oh, and anytime puppies are worked into a shot, then I am all for it. That dog is KEY–YOOT!

Check out the other fun shots and SAVE KHAKI!!!!

I heart Imogene + Willie

Imogene + Willie are Nashville denim makers, with a cool retail concept and environment. Check out their new look book here. If only the sold online, I would have that denim dress in two shakes of a lamb's tail. Poor lamb!

J. Crew has a new wrap cami called Betsy. I mean they spelled it right and everything, and I do love ruffles. I feel obligated to get it, but I will resist.

Oh, Lucienne Day

This tea towel isn't new to us, but I still dig it. It goes perfectly on our mantle. Lucienne Day is by far one of the best textile designers. Her line quality, brush work, color, simplicity is my fav!

Get her and her hubz book here, get this tea towel here. And might I suggest not letting any tea near it :)

Dress you up in my love

Yay! I finally got my new dresser off etsy. Not the best experience, as it took the person a month to ship :( But I love it!

All Around the Mulberry…

A really pretty, really expensive Mulberry bag is on sale on ebay right now, and yours for the special price of $799. Too rich for my blood. I guess I am going to have to wait for the Target version.

Well now that I have mulled it over it does seem like a good investment. Check out all of those belts! I would never be able to get into that bag, therefore I would save money. Right?

Yo Mama!

While I was in NYC a few weeks ago, my friend Kaelea took me to the Brooklyn Flea. There, I found this awesome card by Beau Ideal. Each card is printed in limited editions and this one has gold metallic ink. Love it!

So, I bought this for my mom. She is always super nice and dog sits for us while we are out of town. We went to Minneapolis last weekend, so this is our thank you card to her.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

The hubz and I went to the Ed Sharpe (as the cool kids say) and the magnetic zeros show at the Paladium in Dallas on Monday night. I thought…impressive! Loved the vocals, all the different instruments, burning incense, the last song sing along/sit in, bare chested male band members. :) Fun times! Unfortunately, I wasn't sure I could bring my nice camera in so I was stuck with the crappy iphone camera. Fortunately I am supposed to get the new awesome one next week.

Happy Freedom to You!

Yay! Happy 4th of July. This pict is from NYC a couple of weeks ago but now I am in middle America (Twin Cities), at my hubz family reunion. Baseball, fireworks, and backyard fun. How much more American can we get? :)
